There are a bunch of new books over on Paper Tapir now! These new keychain books come in two sizes, and are small and magical! Also there's an octopus book up too. Been busy busy with CONvergence coming up and a bunch of other events. Whew!

Photo Update
I have finally located my card reader for my smaller camera. After...several months. These were on there, along with quite a few other things. Like from the Ke$ha concert. Yep. Also my Chicago trip last year which included about a hundred pictures from the Planetarium.
At some point I must have been putting things that matched with books. I really like those red earrings, I should make another pair. I only have a single earring for myself, which is maybe a little strange. It's the long star earring. The one on the right is the little cartouche-style set that I started a while ago, which I love, but they're really time consuming. I want to find a better hanging mechanism and I'll probably try and sell them with cords.

Promo Stuff
Ume cards are in! Excited! The crop is a little tight on the top, but I'll fix it on another run.
Updated Paper Tapir cards finally, with the normal website. The blogspot still redirects and everything. So both work? Yes. Also I got a stamp! It's really nice. Very pleased.

Stuck
One of the six images with Jillian and Nicholas together. They're outfits are oddly coherent and match-y. They're traveling in Europe or something, maybe that explains it. I've got about 23 more individual people to draw and then what like...72 extra things and backgrounds. It's actually going pretty smoothly. I'm a little shocked, maybe a day or two behind but that's it, if even. I should be able to start tones next week, which puts me ahead of schedule. (Because there's like 80% less scanning time involved.)Also decided to register for Anime Detour this year, might or might not end up going for all of it, might sell a few things if I get around to it, otherwise. I'm just going to go and work/relax.

Time wasting book!
Well I'm doing the time wasting. Made a sketch/note book. Full post over on Paper Tapir with specs and images.

Also I need this in my life. Its an eyelet setter that doesn't require a hammer. It's spring loaded. Genius! It's $28 over on Paper Source, I'll be in the area tomorrow and will try and persuade myself that I have a reason to not get it :<.

Educating Tapirs

I don't even know where this came from. I guess I feel people should be educated about tapirs. Also, maybe I'm biased, but I think these guys are very sweet. They have a Malayan Tapir at the Minnesota Zoo, she's been there a long time and is sort of smelly and lumpy, but I like her.
She's part of the Species Survival Plan. Oh they also say this about the babies:
"For the first 6-8 months of their life, newborn tapirs resemble 20 lb. watermelons with legs. They are dark brown to black with alternating bands of yellowish-white stripes and spots."
That's adorable.
Anyways educate yourself. Maybe I'll do more long format info bits on weird animals I like. For no reason.

MIX-Accordion Handout

So, sadly my accordion accordion will not be around in time for MIX, however, there's this nice little printout. I had a lot of (caffeine induced) fun with this, I think reading all those origami instructions as a child must have helped somehow. These will be printed for the Minneapolis Indie Xpo this weekend and handed out during the demo Hedwig and I are doing on book binding. Please stop by if you can!
The clickable version is large enough to save and print at your leisure. :)
